On September 24, 2025, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Chair of UN-Water, Mr. Alvario Lario.

During the meeting, the parties shared perspectives on key water-related initiatives and discussed global events held under the auspices of the United Nations, including 2028 UN Water Conference scheduled to be held in Dushanbe.
